S&P downgrade sinks FTSE
London equities fell fast on Thursday, after credit ratings agency S&P downgraded its outlook on the country to "negative" from "stable".

The FTSE 100 fell 115 points to a session low of 4,354.05 in the immediate aftermath of the news, a decline of 113 points. It added to existing pressure on sentiment in the market which soured after the US Federal Reserve issued a downward revision to growth figures, sparking a late sell-off on Wall Street.
