Carly Fiorina, Former H.P. Chief, Wins Calif. G.O.P. Primary for Senate, A.P. Says
Carly Fiorina, a former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard,
won the California Republican primary for a United States
Senate seat on Tuesday night, The Associated Press projected.
Ms. Fiorina defeated Tom Campbell, a former congressman, and
Chuck DeVore, whose candidacy drew the backing of many Tea
Party activists. She will face Senator Barbara Boxer, a
liberal Democrat seeking her fourth term.
