Nadal Wins Wimbledon, Beating Berdych in Straight Sets
Rafael Nadal, 24, of Spain beat Tomas Berdych of the Czech
Republic in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, 6-4, to reclaim the
Wimbledon men's title he first won in 2008.
Berdych, 25, had defeated Roger Federer to reach his first
Grand Slam final, but Nadal's physical game wore him down.
Nadal did not compete in the English tournament last year
because of knee problems.
Today's victory gave Nadal his eighth major title.
