Team USA Beats Canada in Men's Hockey Showdown
The United States men's hockey team, an outside contender for
a medal at the Vancouver Games, shocked Canada, 5-3, and will
force the home country's team to play an extra game to
qualify for the elimination rounds of the Olympic tournament.
It was a demoralizing blow to Canada, which is lagging badly
in the medal count and relying on its skilled National Hockey
League stars to boost morale.
