Obama to Offer Firm Pledge on Emissions Cuts in Copenhagen
President Obama will travel to Copenhagen next month for the
United Nations meeting on climate change, a White House
official confirmed Wednesday. At the conference, he will
offer to reduce greenhouse gas emissions "in the range of 17
percent below 2005 levels by 2020," the White House said.
