Clijsters Wins Second Straight U.S. Open Title
Kim Clijsters of Belgium defeated Vera Zvonareva of Russia,
6-2, 6-1, to win the women's singles title at the United
States Open on Saturday night. She became the first woman to
win back-to-back U.S. Open titles since Venus Williams in
2000 and 2001.
