'The Hurt Locker' Wins Best Picture at the Oscars

"The Hurt Locker," the Iraq war drama directed by Kathryn
Bigelow, took home the the Academy Award for best picture,
defeating nine other films, including the 3-D blockbuster
"Avatar."

Kathryn Bigelow, the director of "The Hurt Locker," became
the first woman to win an Oscar for best director. Sandra
Bullock was named best actress for "The Blind Side," and Jeff
Bridges took the prize for best actor for "Crazy Heart."
Mo'Nique won best supporting actress for "Precious" and
Christoph Waltz won best supporting actor for "Inglourious
Basterds."
